As part of the club's commitment to maintaining the Combe Lane Rec field, we arranged to have it verti-drained recently. This involves holes being made in the field to encourage drainage.

The funds for this were received from Chiddingfold Parish Council and we thank them for this. It is planned to verti-drain again in the new year, as well as fertilise the grass.

The battle with the elements remains ongoing of course. There is evidence that global warning is increasing rainfall and it often feels like that. If we can make it through the season without a match postponement due to wet weather we will be very pleased.
